All ABC Shops to shut

Walking into an ABC Shop to pick up DVDs of a favourite show or a stuffed Banana in Pyjama will soon be a thing of the past.

The national broadcaster is phasing out its 50 stores around Australia and moving its retail operation online, affecting several hundred employees.

Online and partner distribution is the new strategy.
