Monthly inflation pulls another donut

So much for rising inflation! The MI monthly gauge printed another zero in May and has now chalked up just 0.3% in four months. Year on year is still rising on the earlier pick-up at 2.8%:

Trimmed mean came in at 0.1% month on month and 2.1% year on year.

Whatever little inflation pulse we saw is fading fast.
