There’s only a handful of countries left in the OECD that do not produce monthly consumer price index (CPI) reports, and Australia is one of them. A key measure into understanding inflation, although it doesn’t do the best job with regard to house price inflation, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is still only able to do quarterly reports.
Not very timely, not very specific and if you’ve ever done the CPI survey, not very comprehensive.
