The REINZ has released its house price data for June, which revealed a 0.9% seasonally adjusted monthly rise in the national median house price, with prices also up 5.2% year-on-year:
Outside of Auckland, seasonally adjusted house prices rose by 1.3% in June, with prices up 6.6% year-on-year.
Looking at the major cities, Auckland’s seasonally adjusted median house price rose by 0.5% but was down by 1.6% year-on-year. Christchurch’s (Canterbury) fell by 0.6% in June but was up 0.5% year-on-year. Whereas Wellington’s median house price rose 2.9% in June and was up 10.5% year-on-year:
Sales volumes have also rebounded, up by 1.5% year-on-year in seasonally adjusted terms across New Zealand:

As you can see, sales are up everywhere except properties valued under $500,000.
