A group of labour academics have written a book, entitled The Wages Crisis in Australia, which bemoans Australia’s anaemic wages growth and offer some policy prescriptions. From The ABC:

“The impact of stagnant wages goes further than subdued consumer spending. The resulting precarity in household financial stability is … a potentially more dangerous consequence of flatlining wages”…
