“The economists” love the stimulus. At the AFR:

Australia is expected to avoid a recession, with Treasury forecasting 1.5 percentage point boost to the economy in the June quarter from the Morrison government’s stimulus package.

…Commonwealth Bank chief economist Michael Blythe said the stimulus would help Australia avoid a recession.
