Just when we hope daily COVID cases in NSW might have peaked, the state has recorded a pandemic high 1,431 new locally acquired cases over the past 24 hours:
NSW recorded 1,431 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.

Another 12 people have died with COVID:
- A women in her 30s;
- Seven people in their 70s;
- Three people in their 80s; and
- One person in their 90s.
There have been 119 COVID-19 related deaths in NSW since 16 June 2021.
There are currently 979 COVID-19 cases admitted to hospital, with 160 people in intensive care, 63 of whom require ventilation.
