Brisbane’s floods a ‘rain bomb’ like no other

The ABC’s Casey Briggs has created a terrific video (below) explaining the severity of Brisbane’s ‘rain bomb’, which has delivered the wettest start to the year on record.

The first chart presented by Briggs shows the historical rainfall as measured at Alderley Brisbane (shaded area) against this year’s rainfall (blue line):

The next graphic shows the dam storage levels servicing Brisbane, which are well above 100% capacity:
