‘I’ve started making knives. It seems like it may be a useful skill in the desperate times to come. The pics show a 6 inch French chefs knife I’m making as a birthday present for my daughter, and a heavy hunting knife I made to take on my hunting and fishing trips. The hunting knife is shaving sharp, which is very pleasing. I’ve almost finished the chefs knife.’

‘Here are two Alfas I owned when I was much younger (back in the ’90s).

1) A mustard-yellow series 1 1750 GTV coupe (standard) and

2) A red-hot 2-litre engined Giulia Super sedan with bigger brakes, Koni shocks, adjustable camber, perspex side windows, boot-mounted battery etc etc. I did all the mechanical work and concept on the Giulia Super myself, but paint and trim was done by pros to my specs.’
