The AFR should be shut. Its style of journalism is such insider groveling as to make it next to useless. To wit, today’s hagiography of Penny Wong:

The story is one long waste of time. It interviews only one side of the story in practiced Labor and China kowtowers such as Alan Gyngell, Alan Behm, and Geoff Raby (with a throwaway line from Julie Bishop).

Ironically, it is only Penny Wong herself that breaks with the China love-in:
