NSW Labor gifts Transurban millions in toll subsidies

The newly elected Chris Minns NSW Labor Government has promised to cap the weekly toll bill for Sydney motorists at $60.

The policy was described as a “key election announcement” by leader Chris Minns last month and is expected to benefit 51,000 drivers per week when it commences on 1 January 2024, and will run for two years.

“Tolls are out of control at the moment”, Minns said when he announced the policy.
