This week my housing status changes to “between permanent shelter”. I’m all set to take an extended trip in my camper exploring WA, and this week installed a Starlink satellite dish to keep connected. The van has a little IT network with WiFi and 4G cobbled together to run off 12V. While the Starlink RV plan is good, the hardware they provide requires 240V. It’s wasteful of my stored sunlight (2x160Ah Lithium). The Starlink antenna has motors and it’s own “electronics”. It needs fancy Power over Ethernet (48V) wiring and a goof-around with super good shielded ethernetting. All good though. With a clear view of the sky I should be getting 200Mbps+. First stop is the SKA Square Kilometer Array open day in Murchison. But I hear the Starlink network is programmed to avoid that sky for those pesky astronomers. I shall see.

2nd April, Mathius posted a 2006 expedition to PNG looking for cannibals. Herewith some early 1970s first hand experiences
Marine engineer, never did find my sea legs, any swell made copious vomit
Friend met while there. Lost a lot of weight beforehand due to non stop vomiting, stomach acids then blood

I had to be very careful when I was walking through the jungle by my self because they were interested to find out what a white man tasted like.
We also traded with some remote islands without jetties as well
