Elon Musk dangerously wrong on politics

Great video here on contemporary politics and the “woke mind virus” with Bill Maher and Elon Musk:

I only dispute Musk’s representation of “left” versus “right” viewpoints.

The “woke mind virus is not “left” in any recognisable way. It is unconcerned with class and economic dispossession, and its rubric is open borders global homogeneity which equals one market everywhere.

This makes the woke mind virus the useful idiot of the far right, not the left.

Here’s is Musk’s diagram versus the reality:

As for where it came from, it is some whack amalgam of:

  • French post-structural theory;
  • the fall of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of Marxist credibility, and
  • the internet’s destruction of “truth”.

Anyway, because there is nobody on the class war left anymore, capitalism is eating itself alive and the liberal system itself is in jeopardy.
