When you run a platform of lies and gaslighting to protect vested interests, sooner or later, the truth whacks you over the head:
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says he is not responsible for blocking extra Qatar Airways flights, amid claims from the opposition and travel industry that his transport minister and her department supported the expansion but were overruled.
Now, where have we heard that before from a PM?
But then, why wouldn’t Albo sound like Scomo? His policy settings are a much greater lie than ScoMo’s ever were:
- Wages are rising thanks to the government. Lie.
- Superannuation is sustainable, thanks to the government. Lie.
- Australia is a decarbonisation leader thanks to the government. Lie.
- The government is fixing the housing crisis. Lie.
- The government has created hundreds of thousands of jobs for Australians. Lie.
- The government is training more Australians. Lie.
- The government isn’t responsible for immigration. Lie.
- The government is addressing failed competition with a review. Lie.
- Voice is the be-all and end-all. Lie.
The truth is the government has crushed wages, created the housing crisis, rocked households with inflation, done nothing for super, created next-to-no jobs for Australians, isn’t fixing training nor wage theft, has deliberately flooded Australia with cheap foreign labour, its competition review excludes aviation, and it is using Voice as a fig leaf to cover all of the above.
Basically, Albo’s cowards have granted Qantas economic rents in return for support on Voice and favours for the PM’s family, and now he’s been caught out.
Solution: lie.
