Shadow home affairs minister James Paterson has accused the Business Council of Australia (BCA) of making a “tone-deaf contribution” to the debate on housing and immigration.
His comments came after the BCA claimed that increased migration should not be used as a scapegoat for the nation’s housing supply problems.
Paterson told Sky News that the BCA is dangerously out of touch to think immigration numbers will not have an impact on rents, mortgages and the ability of people to get into the housing market.
