According to John Kehoe at The AFR, Business Council of Australia (BCA) CEO Bran Black will use a speech at its annual dinner on Tuesday to claim that all sides of politics are failing to address the issue of ‘runaway’ government spending.
Black will say that young Australians are becoming concerned that they will never be able to afford a home, while he will say that the only way of improving the long-term quality of life in Australia is to boost productivity.
With the next federal election due by May next year, there are five policy areas that the BCA will seek to influence in the lead-up to the election. They are:
