National Anti-Corruption Commission embroiled in corruption scandals

You know that Australia has left the lunatics in charge of the asylum when its own National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) has been embroiled in corruption scandals.

When the Royal Commission on the Robodebt Scheme issued its report, the commissioner in charge went to extraordinary lengths to recommend six people to the National Anti-Corruption Commission for investigation.

Many people were angered, particularly the scheme’s victims, when the NACC announced that it would not take action on the referrals. The NACC determined that additional investigation was unlikely to yield significant new evidence.
