In recent federal elections, Victoria has represented a stronghold for the Labor Party.

The 2022 federal election saw Labor win 24 out of 39 Victorian seats and 54.83% of the two-party preferred vote.

However, in the upcoming election, Victoria is shaping up as a problem state for the Albanese government.
